The show explores the music industry in 1970s New York with cast members including notables Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano and Paul Ben-Victor. HBO describes the premise as investigating music “at the dawn of punk, disco, and hip-hop.” From the trailer, Vinyl looks like it has a touch of Taxi Driver meets sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll.
Vinyl debuts in January 2016.
