Rumors are flying after Mick Jagger was recently spotted with Jack White at a show in Nashville, according to Ultimate Classic Rock. The two were listening to Canadian rock duo Death From Above 1979 perform live at Third Man Records, White’s recording studio that also serves as a store, lounge and offices for the record label.

The sighting readdressed rumors that began as early as 2009 about White working with the Rolling Stones on their first studio album since 2005’s A Bigger Bang. Rolling Stone pursued news that White had recorded some tracks with Keith Richards. While Richards hesitated from commenting on White’s role or potential role with the band, he did admit, “I enjoy working with Jack. I know Jack pretty well. He’s a lovely player.”

Two musicians spotted at the same show may not be the most substantial incident to fuel speculation about working together, but if there’s any truth to White’s potential collaboration, it could make for an interesting Rolling Stones sound.
