Marc Maron is having the best week ever: The man behind the WTF Podcast finally interviewed living legend and his personal hero Mick Jagger.
The Rolling Stones icon phoned in to the show shared on everything from the band’s Sticky Fingers reissue to their upcoming Zip Code stadium tour and his current relationship with Keith Richards.
On the topic of the band’s impending tour, Jagger said that he would try to diversify the group’s setlist and play some surprises like “Sister Morphine, which the band hasn’t performed live in almost 10 years. Jagger also revealed that they’ve thought about just playing Sticky Fingers in full. “It might work, and it might not,” Jagger said. “It’s got quite a few slow songs on it. Maybe it’ll work; you gotta see.”
When talking about his friendship with Richards, Jagger said the place they’re currently at is, “Pretty good. I saw him the other day.” He also mentioned that, this tour, they won’t be joined by Mick Taylor and that and Bill Wyman’s choreography on stage is missed. As for other guests, the band is still figuring out what their stage lineup will look like.
